The harmony of piece and modern

We want to share the unusual, but at the same time extremely simple solution we found in the field of veneering technology.

One of the objects was the task of manufacturing and assembling panels made of our beloved American walnut (Black Walnut). Everything would be fine, but these panels were seen by the customer as parquet turning into a wall and then to the ceiling. It seemed unreasonable to block the parquet on the wall, with the consequent problem of processing the end and the corner joint, and then with extremely difficult vertical and ceiling mounting of small parts, and ... it was decided to perform artistic veneer imitation of parquet boards on standard boards, and then use our CNC (we also brag about the new “player” in our equipment park☺).

The machine, according to the designer’s clear plan, with a step verified to a millimeter, made cuts that imitate joints on the floor, that is, it created artificial “thermal seams” if expressed in professional slang.

The basis for applying veneer was MDF. And of course, when performing CNC milling in the places of cuts, he would have been unaesthetically in our sight, to avoid such a situation, an array of walnut was previously glued to the jointing places (wider cuts made in advance in the MDF itself). At the stage of finishing with paints and varnishes, parts by applying tinting were given the desired shade, ensuring the color specified by the project and opened with varnish.

This technology made it possible to significantly reduce the installation time (which, according to the architect's idea, provided clear cuts between the cuts between the wall planes and from the wall to the ceiling plane). The object is implemented, the final picture is pleasing to the eye!))
